The opening reception for the National Hispanic Cultural Center Chihuly show was well attended. We had a great time visiting with lots of wonderful new people. Friends and family from Santa Fe and Albuquerque came to the show as well as a representative from the Governor’s office, a former Museum curator from West Virginia, and lots of new glass enthusiasts from Albuquerque. It was nice to meet Xavier- he has a hot shop in Dallas and is relocating to Albuquerque. Donna’s work looked great and it seems we all sold some art! The show runs until September 15 and there will be a huge fund raising dinner and auction on September 10th. I have donated one of my Aurora Sculptures for the auction.
